THINKFINITY WEB SITE USER AGREEMENT


ANY PERSON ACCESSING THE THINKFINITY WEB SITE AGREES TO
AND IS BOUND BY THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Copyright. All images, text, programs, and other materials found in the Thinkfinity Web site ("Web site") are protected by the United States copyright laws and are owned or licensed by the Verizon Foundation, its affiliates and/or its partners. K-12 educators may use and make a limited number of copies of the Thinkfinity content and materials for non-commercial, classroom and instructional use and in support of the program Thinkfinity. Use and reproduction of materials owned or controlled by Thinkfinity's Partners may be subject to additional conditions or restrictions. Please see the Partner's Web site or contact us for further details. All other rights are reserved. Except as set forth above, no part of the Thinkfinity content or materials may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, without permission in writing from the Verizon Foundation and, if applicable, the relevant Thinkfinity Partner owning such content. Any modifications or commercial or for profit use of the images, text, programs or other materials found in the Web site is strictly prohibited. If the User would like to set up an educator training program using Thinkfinity content, please contact the Verizon Foundation or follow the links to "Order Training" from the Thinkfinity home page.

    Thinkfinity Trainers are permitted to conduct training sessions on Thinkfinity content and to use Thinkfinity training materials, provided that there is no fee charged for the training, unless permission has been granted. Trainers also must register in the Rusticello database and maintain high quality training standards as measured by the survey scores and write-in comments. Participants who have completed an Verizon Foundation-approved "Thinkfinity Nationally Certified Trainer Program" and have agreed to the quality assurance guidelines and oversight required for Thinkfinity Nationally Certified Trainers may be designated as a "Thinkfinity Nationally Certified Trainer."

    Under no circumstances may any individual or organization charge for the use of Thinkfinity online content and materials, including Professional Development resources, without prior written permission from Verizon Foundation.

    Resale of Thinkfinity content and materials, including printed materials ordered from the Verizon Foundation, is not permitted.

  2. Trademarks. The names, logos, and taglines identifying Thinkfinity's content and services are proprietary marks of the Verizon Foundation. Modifications to any logos associated with Thinkfinity and the Thinkfinity Partners are strictly prohibited.

  3. Content Submission. Certain areas of the Web site allow for the exchange of information between the USER and the Verizon Foundation. Any submission by the USER becomes the property of the Verizon Foundation, and the USER implicitly grants the Verizon Foundation the authority and right to use that content.

  4. USER Responsibility. The USER assumes all responsibility for use of the Web site. The USER waives all claims against the Verizon Foundation, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, suppliers and programmers that may arise from the utilization of the Web site. The USER further acknowledges that neither the Verizon Foundation nor its affiliates is responsible for the use of any sites linked to or from the Web site (including any Partner sites), and waives all claims against the Verizon Foundation, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, suppliers and programmers that may arise from the utilization of such linked sites.

  5. Accuracy of Information. While all reasonable attempts are made to ensure the accuracy of the information, USER can hold neither the Verizon Foundation nor its affiliates, nor their information contributors responsible for the accuracy of the information found in the Web site. USER understands that the Web site is provided on an "As Is" and "As Available" basis. Neither the Verizon Foundation nor its affiliates make any expressed or implied warranty as to the accuracy or merchantability of content or programming, or any implied warranties of fitness or non-infringement.

  6. Location. The Verizon Foundation from its offices in the Commonwealth of Virginia operates the Web Site. The Verizon Foundation makes no representation that the information in the Web site is appropriate or available for use in other locations, and access to the Web site from territories where the content of the Web site may be illegal is prohibited. Those who choose to access the Web site from other locations do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.

  7. General. The laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia will govern this Agreement.

 
 

Content Partners
